We are pleased to announce “The Arts of Dissent: Art and Democracy” + “Masking/Unmasking Death,” a special exhibition of Tokyo Geidai AAI (Asian Art Initiative). to be held May 1-10 at Chenretsukan Gallery.

In this issue, we would like to inform you about the exhibition, “The Arts of Dissent: Art and Democracy.”

「Tokyo Geidai AAI 東京藝大アジアアートイニシアティブ」はアジアの文化・芸術の潮流を継承し、持続的に発展させるため、アジア各国のパートナーとともに、文化芸術の教育・研究の立場から、様々な実践的プロジェクトを行っていく東京藝術大学の取り組みです。音楽、美術、映像などのさまざまな分野の垣根を超えて、藝大が育む教育・研究の知見を生かし、アジアの文化芸術の発展に貢献することを目指しています。東京芸大の学生を対象とした「アジアの文化芸術」をテーマにした教養講座・特別講義の開講をはじめ、「Tokyo Geidai AAI Annual 2022」など、「アジア」をキーワードとする国際シンポジウムやワークショップなどのイベントを開催しています。
